I love Okawa. It is a family favorite. Every ite I order always gets me so excited! We have been coming here for years and my twin and I would celebrate our birthday here every year! So satisfying and so yummy. Support local businesses!

Came to celebrate mom’s birthday as a party of 5. We had a reservation for 6pm (Monday), and upon arriving they weren’t very busy yet. Upon looking into their menu I immediately noticed they are much less expensive than other places like Benihana. They offer a nIce selection of hibachi style combination dinners. If you enjoy sushi, they have that too! The portions are generous, and the flavors are amazing! The chef cooks your meats exactly to your liking. And you get to enjoy watching them as they prepare your food. Before they start cooking you can sit back, relax, and watch the chef perform a few tricks. Overall, we had a great time. The service was friendly, and our hibachi chef was fun and entertaining! We are definitely coming back!

First time to visit and the food was sooo good. I love the scallops the most. We had 14 person party and we were sitted immediately. Food was prepped and cooked in front of us, very entertaining for all. I felt that they wanted to make sure we had the best time. Thanks for making my family experience a good one.

I ordered the Chicken Tatsuta and was shocked when I opened the box. I'm glad I checked my order before leaving because I thought there had to be a mistake. The menu describes it as "marinated chicken, fried to perfection," but what I received looked like plain, frozen chicken nuggets. Chicken Tatsuta is traditionally marinated Japanese fried chicken coated in potato starch and fried until crispy. This looked nothing like the dish being advertised. When I asked about it, I was told this was their Chicken Tatsuta. Unfortunately, the menu description and the actual product do not match.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Lunch Gem in Santee! Had a wonderful lunch at Okawa Steak House & Sushi today! The service was excellent—attentive and friendly from start to finish. The food was delicious! We had the shrimp and steak, and it was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. It's so nice to know that this little place sits right here in Santee and is not overpriced for the great food and the fun hibachi show you get. A little detail that really stood out was the iced tea; it was wonderful and you could truly taste the fresh brew. They also have lunch specials which are very reasonable, making this a great value for the quality. We will definitely be back!
